Annapolis, MD – July 29, 2026 – Decerio, the financial planning and decision intelligence platform built for government contractors, today announced it has completed a SOC 2 Type I audit. The examination was performed by Thoropass Assurance and evaluated the design of Decerio’s controls relevant to the Security category of the AICPA Trust Services Criteria as of June 24, 2026. The attestation report was issued July 10, 2026.
A SOC 2 Type I attestation is a point-in-time report. It confirms that Decerio’s security controls were suitably designed as of the assessment date. It is an independent, third-party validation of how those safeguards are built, and it is an early step in a broader security program rather than a finish line.
As government contractors increasingly rely on cloud-based financial planning tools that connect to systems such as Costpoint and Unanet, they need assurance that those tools meet the same security expectations their own compliance obligations demand. Completing the Type I audit gives customers and prospects an independent reference point for how Decerio designs the controls that protect sensitive operational and financial data.

Decerio has already entered the observation period for SOC 2 Type II, which runs through October 31, 2026. Where a Type I report addresses control design at a single point in time, a Type II report confirms that those controls operate effectively over a sustained period. Decerio expects to complete the Type II examination later this year.
